I've been testing NIghtly's for ruffly 14 yrs now and I always get them right from the mozilla source, which recently changed to the task-cluster from the old ftp/tinderbox files. I know they are clean, or I would surely hope so... Defender has never given me any trouble and that's all I have been using for years and always have a clean system. Can't recall but one time many years ago of catching a small virus which was easily removed back in the old XP days. The Tinsmith wrote:Hmm... Okay that is all okay but did you get the Mozilla file from Mozilla or one from some 'other site file provider'?
Sometime those have malware in them and they need restarts to get control of your system.
Basically? From where did you get the file?
Another possibility is your Anti-Virus client.
Me and Don Quixote swinging at the windmills here. I have never had a Firefox install cause a restart.

I humbly stand corrected.
I see so many here lately that only know the basics.
My cell, for example, turns on and off from the "End" button which also closes a connection.
You have a good night and a better tomorrow.

32 bit build gives 97/100 Chrome same result IE11 passes 100/100 , Edge also passes 100/100
I would say its probably 'not' normal these days, but finding anyone that cares ?

Did you test with a clean profile and no add-ons?

I went to check today and my 56.0b6 is up to date. My Linux version updated to 56.0b7 yesterday at 9:46 AM EST.
According to the meeting notes they are skipping desktop 56.0b7 Beta and Dev Edition.
Schedule Update
My Win 64 56.0b7 updated yesterday afternoon around 2:00 PM EDT. I don't follow the Dev series.
Edit: My bad. I lost a day somewhere. My update was on TUESDAY. My Friday update to beta 6 however came on Sat.
The funny part is....my PC1 to PC4 firefox were automatically updated to 56.0b7 few days ago, however, my PC5 TO PC7 firefox still stuck with 56.0b6 no matter how I often check for update......weird indeed
