My Firefox never updated, so I just used the link up top and went out and downloaded the latest. I hope that isn't a bad thing.

Index of /pub/firefox/releases/56.0b9/win64/en-US/

Seems to be working OK. I think "Noscript" extension updated itself as well. Still says "LEGACY", though; although it does say "Compatible with multiprocess".

Update day for Beta 9 is Tuesday.

So you lose track of days too?? :-)

You would have to search the forum but I *think* Noscript is on the path to We-Ex. I *think*. I do not know. I don't use it myself.

Yes, NoScript extension is on it's way of becoming WebExtensions. Right now the AMO version is a hybrid WebExtensions: it has a legacy wrapper to fetch user settings from legacy storage so the WebExtensions part can save it where the WebExensions versions can retrieve those settings. At a later date the pure WebExtensions version will be deployed.

There is even a "Mozilla Add-ons Blog" on this: NoScript's Migration to WebExtensions APIs

Again today after running the installer for latest hourly m-c win32 build I was prompted for 'restart' the system.

I canceled then tried to uninstall from add/remove and was still prompting for a 'restart' before it could be removed. Very strange, that's twice now.

Did the restart/remove - re-install and this time no prompts for restart. I don't know what's going on. Somehow I suspect that Firefox is not shutting down even though its gone in the task-manager - my disk is doing something for several seconds on close the Nightly. Have yet to determine what is going on.
