Can TBird for Ubuntu use the same Profile Folder as Windows

Just experimenting with Ubuntu and see that there is a TBird for it. The question is: Can I use the Mailbox Profile folder from the Windows installation for the Ubuntu installation?

Yes. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Sharing_a_pro ... _and_Linux . However you need to avoid sharing add-ons that include a binary. The only binary add-ons I'm aware of are Lightning and Enigmail.
