I've just reproduced this bug in Nightly 07-09-17 x64.
Should be fixed by now https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1397285

Bookmarks on bookmarks toolbar have no favicons. Nightly 07-09-17-2.
Image

STR: Create new profile, enable bookmarks toolbar, go to youtube.com and drag the tab to the bookmarks toolbar, restart Nightly.
Sorry for my poor English.

Yes, favicons on bookmarks toolbar (not anywhere else) are gone after each restart.

I would appreciate if there was no useless favicon at all. I mean no globe or something, just pure text. I'm using CSS tweak for this for years as it looks very clean and saves space for more bookmarks.
Bug is there but unfortunately no one cares.

Well, I delete the name of Bookmarks in the Bookmarks toolbar, so it saves even more space, which is which is recognizable by favicon... so I care...
BTW, Sync behaves buggy/strange in this case: a newly created Bookmark without name appears on synced Profiles _with_ its "default" Name, thereby causing often overflow if your Bookmark toolbar is nearly full (until you also delete the name there).

@ Edds - I'm also like Stebs, using bookmarks with only favicon visible without name in Bookmark Toolbar, per more visible items,
so maybe try this method.

I was talking about such option, don't want to force someone to use it, obviously. One little option will not kill anyone.
And no, I really don't need to see cartoonish pictures (sometimes with no picture or changed picture from one day to another) half of the day in front of my face. It remind me something like IE era with a lot of crazy toolbars, if you know what I mean. I believe we are beyond that. Clean, flat, modern look with as little distractions as possible is everything I need.
Fortunately userChrome.css is (still) working so this is not something I need to care about right now.

Hmm, when "This is 7." (the first "tab") is displayed at https://www.apple.com/ the image with 5 phones seems to disappear when the page is scrolled down/up. Does anyone else experience this problem? Stylo enabled.

Looks like it might be intermittent too - sometimes selecting another "header tab" and going back to "This is 7." will trigger or fix the problem.

FYI here is the second attempt for the Downloads button.
Bug 1397447 Automatically hide/show the downloads button by default, providing an option to have it permanently visible
Initial description says everything you need.
I think it's okay now.

I've been getting very slow loading of various pages for the past week or so. I suspect it might be an add-on. When I get a site that loads slow, I'll start Fx in safe-mode and try it. It always loads fast. It also loads fast in MS Edge. The problem with disabling my add-ons one at a time is that the page might suddenly load fast even with all my add-ons enabled. Anyone seeing slow loading of pages?
