When I go to tools/Add-ons/Extensions
I get this error:
You don't have any add-ons of this type installed
FF 55.0.3 (32 bit)
They were there a few days ago.

You sure you didn't inadvertently click on 'Services' instead of 'Extensions' ?
For that's where you get that message ......

Well, it was a shot in the dark - just to make sure ....
Would you take a look at this thread, though, and see is maybe what solved the problem for that user, might also work for you :

OK solved.
That link showed me how to fix it
I used the second fix by jscher2000
I renamed compatibility.ini and extensions.json
and let them get rebuilt by FF.

after one of the last updates i had to reinstall all the extensions as they were all gone!!!! i was very upset at the inconvenience. i couldn't remember the names of some of them so i had to look at my other computer to see what they was.
