FWD, extension to reply all?

Post by Haircut »

We are a small software firm. We have a number of email filters that forwards support emails to the folk who is on call during the weekend to the gmail address of their choice.

Every now and then, one of the folks clicks on reply or reply all. This sends the reply back to our support address since that is the only one listed in the forwarded email.

Is there an extension that can deal with this? The problem is more of an annoyance than a problem but it would be cool to solve the annoyance.

I suggest you create a multiple identity that you select as the From: address when forwarding. It could have a different email address. It could also set a reply-to address (if you set that that address gets used by default instead of the From: address when replying). You could specify the email address to be for an account where you created a filter in webmail to delete all new mail. Essentially a dedicated noreply email address.
