Cannot copy text

Hello!

For years now I am having problem with gumtree.com. I cannot copy text from its webpages.

Example: try to copy the text of the ad at https://www.gumtree.com/p/property-to-s ... 1266127048

Is there a fix for this?

Which Ad? I don't see one.
You know the drill, Safe Mode and if that doesn't work a New test Profile.

I see you have Windows 8.1 installed which is also what I have. So hit the Windows key to take you to the Start menu with the tiles and start typing snipping tool anywhere on the screen. You'll see it appear on the right hand side. For convenience right click Snipping Tool and click "Pin to Start" and/or "Pin to Taskbar".

Then go to gumtree and when you find an ad you want to make a note of click your Snipping Tool tile or taskbar quick launch icon and you'll get this menu. Click "New" and the screen will be overlaid with a pale grey transparent film. Using the mouse draw a square around the ad you want to copy and then let go of the mouse button. Give it a name and save it somewhere.

If you haven't used the Snipping Tool before click the down arrow beside the "New" button and choose "Rectangular snip" which is the one I find is the best one to use. It will stay that way when you use it again afterwards.

v55 fresh profile - mark&copy is possible - again one of the installed extensions and/or system software or extension from some installed program.

The text in the ads are part of a link, so you can't directly select this text.
You need to right-click the text and open the Inspector then you can copy the text from the left HTML pane.
If necessary then right-click and use "Edit as HTML".

idd - my bad - thats an iframe ("Sponsored Links") - either copy page text or copy ad text, both it not possible
