While the tab and their /favicon.ico is the usual icon. I forget what it is I can delete to force a bookmark favicon reset. Or is there something else going on here again?

Edit: Heh, scratch that, I fixed it... derp. Delete favicons.sqlite from AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\XXX... (if you don't have anything custom set for them I guess).
Hmm.... Now I have a different one that's remaining blank... :| (it's the last one on my toolbar, and last one I selected, if that's somehow the reason)

Can not reproduce. Tried 10x up and down, still smooth.

Same here as Edds -- loads quickly and scrolls smoothly.
I often take a long windy road to my destination. Upon arrival, I wonder how I missed the shortcut.

@Edds @kah0922 @BruceAWittmeier Thank you very much! It must be a problem that is reproduced only on my config then. I've recorded a profile with Gecko profiler, let's see where this goes :-k

CPU usage is not so high during scrolling the page.
However, CPU usage is very high for few seconds after page reaches at the top of page or bottom.

Have nightly updates gone back to one a day?

I'm seeing Build ID 20170918220054 and Nightly is up to date.

No, I just got my second 2017-09-18 release. My computer was off overnight, and I just turned it on at 5:30 US east coast time and an update was available.

What is the pref "dom.ipc.processPrelaunch.enabled" doing exactly ? Is it creating one content process in advance ? It is set to false by default because of memory or why it is not enabled ? IMO it is quite a big improvement in perceived performance of the browser if set to true.
