Patch 1366405 has been back out...

With the back-out latest m-c win32 builds are working again with 'Light Theme'

Total crash... crash-reports are useless for the moment as I'm running hourly builds and they have no symbols

EDIT: No crash is new Profile *sigh*
Crash here too. Also on inbound.
No longer crashing with latest m-c win32 hourly - cset: 20170928171506 3177c1b64ffe7ba5c08851791bd495421dcedb05

So there is hope this will be fixed in tonight's build!

Thank you, TheVisitor, for posting enough detail that started a chain of events to finally get the problem identified and resolved! Having worked in IT before I retired, I know it really helps when one can 100% reliably reproduce a bug because then one can reproduce it in known conditions and know when it is fixed. (Intermittent bugs, on the other hand, one never really knows for sure when they are fixed.)

I don't understand why they added a "drag" space before the first tab in the maximized mode. There is no such space in any mockup or spec.

Shouldn't this be fixed in the latest update?
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1403951

I was using the "Nightly" persona or lightweight theme or whatever they want to call them now, and when I restarted, blam, no window. Had to jump into safe mode, disable the theme, close and restart to get the window back.

For what's it worth, this is theme: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nightly/

I haven't tried any others.

looks like a bug, we had the cases before and we used a userChrome hack to workaround it while i was fixed later

Hrm... playing with this a little more you can tell which ones are going to break the window on restart. When you enable a theme, some of them cause the edge of the window to suddenly become white, especially noticeable on the toolbar area. I can't find a rhyme or reason to which ones will cause the problem.

BTW if someone has a workaround for this… I tried

Code: Select all

#TabsToolbar {titlebar-placeholder[type="pre-tabs"]: 0px !important;}
without luck

yeah, this will solve it, but on the other side of the tab bar it causes issues with overlapping tabs and windows control buttons...
