I want to open a new tab everytime I hit the url bar.
I was using some tab extensions to do that, but I heard that the new webextensions can't handle that.
So.. I think I should do that with firefox's own functions, but it seems to be impossible.
There're "browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs" for bookmarks, "browser.search.openintab" for search, and "browser.tabs.opentabfor.urlbar" for urlbar, but I found that "browser.tabs.opentabfor.urlbar" was removed 12 years ago!
How about to revive "browser.tabs.opentabfor.urlbar" or make an equivalent fuction?
I think many people want this fuctions, not only me.
How do you think of that?

Re: Open in tabs for URLbar
I mean hitting the Enter key.
I know I can use Alt with Enter to open a new tab but I don't want Alt.
Yeah. I don't think webextensions can hadle this too.
I have already done searching every related add-ons but no single possible solution is there.
So I want to revive a Firefox's own function to do that.

<input> ENTER is currently not opening a new tab like ALT+ENTER you have to perform for now. i am not sure if there will be a solution that near, i am still also looking for this since TMP has been discontinued.

Yes please.
I have been also using tabmixplus just for this reason and tabmixplus has been biggest reason for me to not switch to Chrome.
"browser.tabs.opentabfor.urlbar" is last piece missing for me to have same functionality in Firefox 57.
