It's going to be interesting to see how Ubuntu handles 57. Ubuntu updates Firefox for you. There is a way to select the version for yourself, but it's presently beyond my skills to do it.

The Future branch dates table is easy to read. The merge date is for when version moves/merges to said Beta and Nightly(central) channels and the Release date is for when version is to be Released on Release and ESR channels.
