DownThemAll Alternative?

Post by BrowseMail »

Hi,

I've had the DownThemAll Firefox extension installed for a number of years. It isn't something I used regularly but it had come in handy on occasions to bulk download certain file types on a web page. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this extension will be migrating to a WebExtension. Can anyone suggest any alternative Firefox/Google/Opera extension, or even just a stand-alone Windows programme that would do a similar job in case I need it in the future? Basically, something that will bulk download all files on a given page based on specified criteria. e.g. Download all .zip files that are linked on www.example.com/some_zips.html.

Thanks.

Download Star seems to be only an alternative to quickly adding a lot of files, but the main reason I used dta was the acceleration of downloads through multiple connections/chunks.
Since another year has passed: any news on dta or an accelaration alternative? :-k
