Firefox 56.0 Cannot Scroll Iframe (Linux)

Post by jcobban »

Since I applied the most recent fixes to Firefox on Ubuntu 16.04 I have encountered a couple of issues:
  • I can no longer scroll <iframe>s. All scrolling operations apply only to the main window including both the scroll button on the mouse and the scrollbars in the frame.
  • Firebug 2.0.19 does not display the HTML. Sometimes the entire HTML subwindow is completely blank. Sometimes it shows the <html> tag with a + beside it, but clicking on the + does not expand. This makes it really difficult to debug the first problem.

Reason: "(Linux)" added to subject line.

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Subsequent fixes appear to have resolved this issue. Firebug is still broken, but the new inspection feature works and is intended to supersede Firebug.

If you have NoScript installed check Options/Embeddings - see if "Forbid Iframe" is checked.
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you
