I believe 56.0?

56.0.1 talks about, "Block D3D11 when using Intel drivers on Windows 7 systems with partial AVX support", so see what you've got, & if not 56.0.1, then get that update & see if that changes anything? (Yes, it mentions Win7, you've got Win10...)

I reinstalled after uninstalling/removing the file directories- now it crashes on launch. With version 56.0.1

its this driver.
maybe stepping back to latest v16 may help.

I rolled the software version back to 16.11.5
.....still same issue.

So now put back to original most updated settings.

your win10 build is 15063.608, current is .628
i asked a friend and dwrite.dll on system is build 10.0.15063.413, yours is 10.0.15063.483

typo means fonts and codepage and that stuff - which points out there are errors in your font system = windows failure

returning to conclusion -> dism and sfc to repair windows

....it would appear you are correct. this is a bigger problem than I thought. Running SFC caused it to stop at 29% of verification- unable to continue. I'm currently trying to run chkdsk....."Volume Bitmap is incorrect" is what I have got.

It ran and corrected the problems online. Firefox STILL crashes on launch.
SFC still stalls at 29%

i broke my windows 10 (using just for fun) also last weeks somehow - i had to reinstall from scratch.
its rock-stable but easy to crash with the wrong settings or tools.

Oooooh ok. I'll do that! Hopefully it'll fix it. As of now......FF still crashing on launch.

Update: ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED!!!
Thank you all for your help. It was in fact a major Windows issue. since SFC/ect didn't work, I had to completely do a repair install from a separate source/hard drive. On booting up, firefox loads fine and dandy.
