No autofill form option?
I downloaded the U.S English 64 bit version yesterday. It was a clean install as I was using Vivaldi before then. But I have no Autofill option in Privacy & Security, like it's supposed to be. I checked in about:config and found this:
extensions.formautofill.available type: string value: staged-rollout
Neither the Release Notes, Support pages, or any of the web sites talking about 56 mention anything about autofill form being a staged rollout, just that it's only available in the U.S., which I'm in. Anybody else have it missing, or is it just me? And any suggestions?

Re: No autofill form option?
Note that that config setting name starts with "extension" which indicates that it is not a standard part of Firefox but added to the program by installing an extension. Not sure what you mean about a "staged rollout". Have you installed the extension AutoFill Forms.extensions.formautofill.available type: string value: staged-rollout

No, what I'm actually talking about is what's on this page:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/au ... ress-forms
You're not supposed to need an extension, it's builtin now. But I don't have it.
I thought the config setting I posted was related to it.

Re: No autofill form option?
I think it is there. Have you tried populating a form to see what happens?
Unless something has been changed, that "extension" at the beginning means that it is not related to the built in functionality.

Only just hit the nightly builds as far as I am aware

The extensions.formautofill.available in Fx 56.0 replaces extensions.formautofill.experimental which is deprecated.

My About:config Value is "Staged-Rollout" and Clking it changes nothing.James wrote:The extensions.formautofill.available -- in Fx 56.0 -- replaces extensions.formautofill.experimental which is deprecated.
So it will be Added in near future Updates?

Re: No autofill form option?
I am just confirming that I have the same issue with Firefox 56.0 not having the "Autofill addresses" capability as stated on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/au ... ress-forms . This issue has occurred on two separate computers without the Firefox accounts being linked.

I'm having the same issue. I tried toggling dom.forms.autocomplete.formautofill but it just resets itself back to false.

Re: No autofill form option?
I noticed today they added a box at the top of the link saying "This new feature will be rolled out gradually over time, so not all users will see it." So it is a staged rollout, and we just haven't gotten it yet. Maybe in 57?dalef wrote:I am just confirming that I have the same issue with Firefox 56.0 not having the "Autofill addresses" capability as stated on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/au ... ress-forms . I asked in the related bug report, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1380942 and the reply was,fred8615 wrote:I noticed today they added a box at the top of the link saying "This new feature will be rolled out gradually over time, so not all users will see it." Address Autofill is still under the gradual rollout stage and will proceed on Fx57, so users might not see the feature on day 1 even their Firefox updates to 57.0.

See https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Featur ... ailability
Modifying the extensions.formautofill.available preference value from staged-rollout to on and then restarting Firefox will enable the feature.
