Using SM 2.48, when trying to move several old mail messages to a backup folder, multiple copies as many as five copies of each appear in the destination folder.
Anyone else having this problem?
Any easy way to delete the duplicates?

How is the account set up in Thunderbird, as POP or IMAP? Find out using menu path Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Server Type at the top right of the dialogue.

Re: Duplicate copies of messages appear in destination folde
This is a pop mail account, however, the duplication does not take place in the inbox.
It occurs when moving several messages from inbox to one of many sub-folders for archiving purposes.
We have tried compacting the sub-folders, and also tried repairing them (from properties dialog.

Sub-folders for Inbox folder or just folders for that e-mail account? I have additional folders to sort already read messages and to keep clean Inbox and it works correct for me.Rob_S wrote:It occurs when moving several messages from inbox to one of many sub-folders for archiving purposes.
And you can check/test: disable/uninstall Lightning extension and try to delete those messages.
