Skype for Business / Lync Invitation

Post by jasc »

Hi

I'm new here and have the following question.
Invitation Links for Skype for Business / Lync meetings dont work in Firefox (currently 56.0.1 64Bit).
Using such a link in IE, Edge or Chrome works fine. I cannot post such a link here in public due to security reasons

I dont talk about the meeting plugin ! The link opens the locally installed SkypeFB / Lync Client and the meeting. But with firefox the GUI is openend but the meeting is not properly connected.

Is there a solution ??

Thanks
Jan

Hi

I already saw this post but thought its about the web meeting not the start of the local client. Am I wrong?
(sorry my English is not the best)

Skype requires a NPAPI plugin in order to work, but Firefox only supports the Adobe Flash plugin now.

According to the following support article which applies to Google Chrome, Microsoft is working on a solution which doesn't require NPAPI. See the paragraph called Status near the foot of the page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... ick-a-meet

EDIT: See also: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/npapi-plugins
