I keep getting pop-up requests from FF 57b to rate the program (Windows 10x64), despite having done so more than once. How can I stop this very annnoying behaviour?
Surely Mozilla isn'tstupid enough to use cookies to record it being done? Regards
Henry firefox to rate windows? wtf? or usage under windows 10? maybe adware?
provide some information please (text, not raw) https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/us ... ix-firefox test firefox in safe-mode please: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tr ... -safe-mode or http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode AdwCleaner AdwCleaner Download Insert [Report] here, then [Cleanup] ![]() Moving to Firefox Builds as 57b is not a release version.
Do you currently have this enabled? - Preferences > Privacy & Security: "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" If so, disable it. This may solve it. The beta, however, may not allow you to opt-out as it is pre-release.
Unfortunately, this is not available as an option. Any about:config change I could make to same effect? Regards
Henry
Wow, that a lot of info - do you really want it posted here; or only the first section? Regards
Henry
about:config experiments.enabled set to false experiments.activeExperiment set to false extensions.ui.experiment.hidden set to true close/restart the browser after the changes. These are the pref's I changed long ago when 'experiments' was first introduced and to my knowledge none have ever pushed to my machine. EDIT: also have a look at about:support (enter in the url bar) then scroll to bottom of page, there is a section there for 'experiments'. Do you have anything there ? That will the list any experiments. copy all with the right button "copy to clipboard" and paste it here like this example:
Here are a couple of more things you can disable in about:config that may help: browser.onboarding.shieldstudy.enabled - false extensions.shield-study-recipie-client.enabled - false For anyone else that has the same problem (and like me didn't click on "learn more"

Not sure if the same thing, or how this should be, but I just checked, and mine has: browser.selfsupport.enabled set to false
I have no such pref... To henryg_1
Do you have this preference? extensions.shield-recipe-client.enabled If so, double-click on it to set it to false. Ref: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/rate-your-firefox-experience-heartbeat under Opting out. Alice Wyman
