I TOOK OFF avg anti virus AND AVG TUNE UP

and there is your culprit - AVG and TuneUp crap.

deleting or uninstalling firefox wont help - you need to start with a clean profile.
if that wont help, its nevertheless your system.

create a new profile

or
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager

This article explains how to selectively transfer Firefox user data and settings to a new Firefox profile

and believe - TuneUp is really pain and no gain.

it only opened to the task bar

Right-click the taskbar icon, Maximize?

(If that helps, might want to exit FF, then rename xulstore.json to xulstore.json.OLD, then start FF & see if it opens correctly.)

That's what the instructions in the link I already posted states, but I suppose there's no harm in repeating them.
