firefox suddenly stopped

ive had firefox for years , went to open yesterday , and it only opened to the task bar , IVE TRIED EVERYTHING TO OPEN IT ,NOTHING WORKS , I deleted it ,reinstalled it , same happened . I TOOK OFF avg anti virus AND AVG TUNE UP , TURNED OFF WINDOWS FIREWALL , then deleted firefox and shut down , re installed firefox same thing happened it opened to the taskbar .

and there is your culprit - AVG and TuneUp crap.

deleting or uninstalling firefox wont help - you need to start with a clean profile.
if that wont help, its nevertheless your system.

create a new profile

Right-click the taskbar icon, Maximize?

(If that helps, might want to exit FF, then rename xulstore.json to xulstore.json.OLD, then start FF & see if it opens correctly.)
