Can't drag contacts to mailing list

I created a mailing list within Personal Address Book and dragged four contacts from Personal Address Book to the mailing list. When I tried to drag a fifth contact to the list, the contact wouldn't drag. Now I'm stuck with four contacts in the mailing list and I can't add any more. What's wrong? What do I need to do to add more contacts to the mailing list?

Was that fifth contact also coming from the Personal Address Book? Has that contact record been used previously to send messages to the email address of the recipient?

Check that the record for that contact has valid entries in the First Name, Last Name, and Email fields of the address book record.

That didn't work, so I created a new address book instead of a mailing list, and that solved the problem.
