I have two version of Firefox installed
Version 56 which is a 64 Bit Version installed into my (C:program Files folder)
Then I have Firefox Version 47 which is a 32 Bit Version installed into my (C:program Files (x86) folder)
I want to copy the profile from version 47 32 Bit over to version 56 64 Bit
I can Locate the version 47 32 bit by
How can I do that
Second question I can type firefox.exe –P into the Run Cmd and it will bring up my user profile where I can create a new user which I did
But it the firefow 47 version stored in C: Program Files (x86)
Cant figure out how to bring up the Firefox 56 store in C:Programs file

I am no authority but...
If you are just looking to identify where your profile files and folders are located for two different versions, open each version and enter about:support. You can open two versions by using the -no-remote option in the call to open the second version -- whichever it is. C:\Firefox\firefox.exe -P AddonUser -no-remote (addonuser should be substituted with your profile name)
Click the button Open folder (Profile folder) for each version.
I would strongly suggest copying away each profile just in case one doesn't survive.

I often take a long windy road to my destination. Upon arrival, I wonder how I missed the shortcut.

Re: Firefox profile copy one when running 2 different versio
firefox.exe -P brings up the profile manager as bruce pointed out. how many profiles do you see?
it does not matter which firefox.exe.
to remove firefox 47 just uninstall - and reinstall v56 to be sure, that firefox is working proper, can be tricky if not
v56 here -> https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
concerning profile(s) - if profile manager shows only one profile it do not matter, there is nothing you can copy.
in case of two profiles:

or
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager
This article explains how to selectively transfer Firefox user data and settings to a new Firefox profile
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_ ... _-_Firefox
in windows x64
firefox x64 (64 bit) -> c:\program files\Mozilla firefox
firefox x86 (32 bt) -> c:\program files (x86)\Mozilla firefox
profiles here -> %appdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles
(%appdata% is valid for each windows and current user, it points to
c:\users\<username>\appdata\roaming\ <- which is username depending - insert user name)
assembled would be:
c:\users\<username>\appdata\roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\profiles
or open firefox, enter about:support -> use button to open profile folder!
it does not matter which firefox.exe.

Re: Firefox profile copy one when running 2 different versio
we need to wait if he uses two profiles or one. i dont think he has two profiles as he dont know about how to handle two installations.
at least he should stay with v56 because v47 is outdated and vulnerable - regular users should stick with it, they are not conscious about the danger.

any other as described - two profiles, each one for each browser. dont touch the browsers directory!
