I've pinned FF to my Windows 10 taskbar, so I can conveniently load it. Until recently it behaved like all others, displaying a light blue bar below it when the program was running and had a window open. Just like the four others visible in my screenshot.
But ever since some recent problems which led me to re-install 56.0.2 (64-bit), the behaviour has changed. A duplicate FF icon is now created. Confusingly, either can be clicked to re-activate the already running program, but the original one does more than just re-display the FF window: it loads my home page. I've probably closed that by this time and don't want it back. Maybe does other stuff too.
Is it perhaps some FF setting that's changed causing this please?

Re: Unwanted duplicate taskbar icon
OK, sorted shortly after posting thanks.
It seems that the original icon I'd pinned was a shortcut (not sure how that happened). So by unpinning it and pinning the 'duplicate' all now appears to be back to normal.

Thanks for reporting your finding on that.
