- Stylo has a positive effect on the test.
- OMTP has a positive effect on the test.
- Retain is probably doing something it shouldn't.
- Stylo in Chrome has some kind of weirdness that affects the test.
With everything off, it should have mimicked Fx56. But for some reason it didn't. Addons may be to blame but I have not tested that theory yet.
The test also has this issue where if you change tabs after the test is done, the score seems to adjust itself again. Weirdness.
Are you benching Speedometer 1.0? Mozilla is optimizing for 2.0 as far as i know.
On 2.0 I get 80 on Nightly 58 with all enhancements and 70 on Firefox 56.0.2.
It is known that uBlock Origin reduce the score. Gorhill says this is to be expected because of the many DOM manipulations that Speedometer uses, he says this won't happen like this on the real web.

No one responded to my YouTube 4k30 question. I guess I'll just file a bug.
4k30 is fine for me, but 4k60 basically freezes now (I remember playing it smoothly without any stuttering and low cpu usage like 1 or 2 weeks ago), I also notice how my scrolling sometimes falls from 60fps to ~20fps for around 10 seconds.

I have this bug since a few weeks now. It's really annoying.
Please tell me if there's a ticket for this. It is so random that I don't know how to reproduce.
What OS and CPU/GPU are you running?
I was able to reproduce it by scrolling up and down constantly for some time, but with the newest build, the bug does not seem to trigger. I am aswell able to play 4k60 with low cpu usage again. Wether these problems are now fixed or not I do not know, they may reappear, but at the moment of writing its seems to have repaired itself.

It happens on both an Intel HD 520 and a Radeon R9 390 on Windows 10 16299.19.
It was worse, but after the fixes for the transparent rendering errors landed, it is better again, but still happening sometimes.
