Setting "Bookmarks Menu" as the default bookmark folder

Hi,

I'm using FF 56.0.2 and I'm searching for a way to make Firefox remember the "Bookmarks Menu" folder when clicking on the "Star" icon. When using CTRL+D, this folder shows up be default but I find out that clicking the star icon is much easier and more convenient than CTRL+D. Is there an option in the about:config to set this folder the default when hitting the star icon?

It appears to me that if you click the star, then select the appropriate folder (bookmarks menu) it will become the default and future saves will go to that folder.

I did that but for some reason (at least in my case), FF doesn't default to the last folder I chose "Bookmarks Menu" even though I closed the program and re-opened it again. It always default to "Other Bookmarks".

Well, it looks like you are right. I would have sworn I tried with a restart of the browser before posting today as you but it did not work.
