I cannot download any addons from the Mozilla addons site. All give a connection problem error.

In a recent thread someone was having trouble. Instead of clicking the install button for an extension, right click and do save link as. If the xpi file saves ok, then click install add-on from file as described in this thread: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=3034879

Yes, that works, but what a dreadful waste of time just to get an addon.

Try clearing you cache and your cookies for the addons site, then reload the page and see if that helps.

So with the forthcoming changes I'll emigrate to Opera - after all Firefox to me was almost all about the flexibility provided by addons.
