SM 2.49.1 newsgroup name display expansion

I recently upgraded to SM 2.49.1 and I noticed that existing newsgroup names have been displayed in abbreviated form instead of its full length. For example, the Mozilla newsgroup mozilla.support.seamonkey is now displayed merely as m.s.seamonkey. Is there setting or about:config parameter that can be adjusted so that the full newsgroup name is displayed as it was before?
