FF 57 address bar flickering violently

Just upgraded to FF 57 and it certainly looks pretty enough,

but the address bar is flickering back and forth violently, as if trying to re-size itself and failing. I think it's trying to give me epilepsy.

It does this with a blank page or with webpages, but not internal pages like about:addons.

I had a custom size for the address bar set with Classic Theme Restorer, can it have to do with that?

edit: and it only goes on while the screen is maximized, de-maximizing stops it.

Just discovered the culprit is the new version of Greasemonkey!

Greasemonkey itself, or one of the scripts you're running with it?

Well, it looks like it's not really Greasemonkey.

After I disabled it the address bar stopped flickering, but now this morning it's back to doing it again.

So I will probably just have to set up a new profile.

in Customize I set the toolbars to 'compact' and it's stopped flickering, for now.
