A few more Webrender questions?

With your instructions I enabled it. But.

I don't see any, I think, any of the problems that I have seen reported in the past.

Any suggestions for some test sites? Please.

Just retested WebRender...
IMO it's better than before even when scrolling websites but it always consumes too much CPU&GPU than WebRender off. (on Neowin front page [scrolling picture animation] : 30% CPU / 40% GPU with Webrender on, 12% CPU / 2% GPU with Webrender off, on C2Q Q8200 & AMD R7 240)

Disabled it again but I'll look forward to it :)

Turned on Webrender again and forgot I had it on. That's a good sign.

Download dialogs are completely black for a few seconds.
UI is sluggish after launching Firefox.
Screen goes black for a few seconds on launch.

With webrender turned on. Anyone else notice this?

That's normal right now. It is pre alpha...

Did they change the tab loading indicator recently? The blue color seems to be more softer.

This. That's what we nightly testers expect from a pre-pre alpha product.

Interestingly though... I have noticed that WebRender has become significantly more stable over the last few weeks. It's now at the point where I forget that it's enabled most of the time. That's pretty impressive considering it was almost unusable only a few weeks ago.
Cheers!

Yeah there's a lot of positive development going on. Unfortunately my Intel HD Graphics 520 seems to be too slow right now for WebRender.

Is this part of Quantum DOM?
Many launch articles for Firefox 57 yesterday were talking about Firefox prioritizing foreground tabs over background tabs. However this sounds exactly like it, but it only landed in Firefox 58… So are these claims false or is it just another part of that effort?
