Latest update incredibally slow
Mozilla installed a Firefox update this morning without asking (in options I require consent before intalling). This update has not only made it very slow but now it hangs. I've had to restart twice to post this message. I've had a similar problem with FF in the past, but this is too much. Does anyone know a fix or am I going to have to abandon the browser I've been using for many years?

I too have noticed this.
The animated thingy in the tab runs back and forth for 10 to 20 seconds before loading a site.
There is a lot of 'handshaking' being shown at the bottom left of screen during this timeframe.

Any change if you restart in Safe Mode?
Fire 750, bring back 250.

It had affected the overall performance of Windows 10. I restored to the day before and everything's fine so it was definitely the FF update. I've now turned off ALL updates. We'll see it it honors that.
