I installed Firefox Quantum 57.0(64bit) and the “Export Bookmarks to HTML” procedure no longer works.
(Show All Bookmarks -->Import and Backup-->Export Bookmarks to HTML)
Clicking on “Export Bookmarks to HTML” opens the Desktop but clicking on “Save” does not save the HTML file.
“Export Bookmarks to HTML” procedure no longer works.

That's odd. It works fine here.

It works for me.
Firefox 57.0
Windows 7 SP1 32-bit
Is there an error in the console?
* Tools > Web Developer > Browser Console > Clear the Web Console output
* Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Export Bookmarks to HTML
Firefox 57.0
Windows 7 SP1 32-bit

Re: “Export Bookmarks to HTML” procedure no longer works.
Thanks for the responses. I have found that forums, usually manned* by unpaid volunteers, are the best place to find help, rather than the vendors.
I just happen to think and wonder whether the Xmarks add-on that I have installed prevents the export of bookmarks (even after I unchecked the synchronization). I tried exporting Bookmarks on my tablet ( no Xmarks add-on, Windows 10, Firefox Quantum 57) and that worked just fine.
Any comments would be much appreciated.
* “manned” is probably not politically correct these days, but “peopled” just didn’t sound right.
