Thanks Francesco
I'll look at it when the release comes out. But I haven't worked on any of this stuff in 2 years and I'm not even sure I remember how to package a file, let alone how to dig through bindings.

I think I have an XUL overlay doing the heavy lifting on that, and was never clever enough even when I was working on this "full time" to figure out any other way. As it is, it's been a year and a half since I even touched any code at all.

Getting this when I updated today to SeaMonkey 2.49.1 Sea Fox 0.4.6 Requires Restart by patrickjdempsey
Transform SeaMonkey into Firefox 3.x
Add to SeaMonkey [Warning]Permissions
Not available for SeaMonkey 2.49.1Will this be updated for 2.49 and later releases of SeaMonkey? It's a must have for me when I use SeaMonkey whilst browsing on the net! Thanks!

I'm very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very busy. I haven't supported pre-release versions in many years and don't plan on it any time soon. If it breaks in the release, I'll try to get around to fixing it, but as I've already said, I honestly don't remember any of this stuff or have any of the software installed on my current computer. The current direction of Firefox and the extreme up-in-the-air hanging-by-a-thread state of SeaMonkey development depresses me and makes me anxious. As soon as it became obvious that things were heading for oblivion, I decided to step back and live the rest of my life instead of bailing water on the Titanic. The internet as we know it may not even exist by the time the orange dingbat gets out of office, so I'd rather be drinking a beer and doing something else I love when it happens, than be deeply invested in it.

Ja, ja, same old, same old. SeaFox's findbar blows up on 2.48 and 2.49. A workaround fix is here - viewtopic.php?p=14757880#p14757880On 2.49 SeaFox loses its grip on toolbargrippies and a fix is posted for that a few posts later on the above thread. As for you, Pat, just make sure you've forward versioned SeaFox as far as possible on AMO and carry on drinking. I can't see SM going much beyond the 2.49 ESR fwiw.

Know what you mean by being very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very busy. My colleagues and I often talk about the current direction of Firefox and the future of SeaMonkey. I've seen many a browser come and go over the years and am hoping that SeaMonkey lives on. And Thanks again for the WUNDERBAR SeaFox add on.

Thanks for the info on the workaround fix. As for SeaMonkey going much beyond the 2.49 ESR...who knows?...am hoping it will live on since it's my favourite browser. It ain't dead yet. And SeaFox is a pleasure to use with SeaMonkey.

This add-on is not compatible with your version of SeaMonkey.

Hmm.. I have no idea, the 'download anyway' option seems to still work.
