I am running TB 52.4 on Windows 7 Home 64 bit.
I posted both problems on the community site but have had no response. Perhaps someone could assist me here please.
Problem 1
'copy to' and 'move to' not working
Right click on message and selecting either 'copy to' or 'move to' does not give the (previously working on earlier versions) drop down menu. Just a small triangle.
Problem 2
Message filters - no available folders
Not sure how long ago it happened but I cannot now add or edit filters (I have screen shots but cannot see how to attach them). Move message to: shows 'no available folders'. I have managed to alter one of the filters by manually editing the msgFilterRules.dat file.
I have found the following in the error console which could be relevant:
Discovering folders for account failed with exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80550016 [nsIMsgFolder.subFolders]" nsresult: "0x80550016 (<unknown>)" location: "JS frame :: resource:///modules/MailUtils.js :: MailUtils_discoverFolders :: line 36" data: no]
Thanks

Re: Folders not found
Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Re: Folders not found
How is the account set up in Thunderbird, as POP or IMAP? Find out using menu path Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Server Type at the top right of the dialogue.
For now, let's assume something borked the program files and try replacing them.
Clear the browser cache and the Windows Temp directory.
Shutdown any anti-virus software you are running.
Download a new copy of the full installer from http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/
Delete the directory C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird
Run the installer.
Restart the anti-virus program.
Note that your saved messages, address books, settings, passwords, etc, are stored in a different directory from the program files and will not be removed by deleting the directory identified above.
This thread http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... 5#p5239885 has a more detailed version of the above instructions if needed.

Re: Folders not found
I have 3 accounts set up - 1 pop and 2 imap.
I ran through your procedure to replace the program files (the installer link did not work for me - Forbidden Don't have permissions) so I downloaded it from the main site.
Unfortunately the problem still exists after the reinstallation...

Re: Folders not found
Is the same problem occurring on all accounts or is it limited to one or more?

Re: Folders not found
I fixed this by uninstalling Thunderbird and removing all mention of it in both folders and in the registry.
A reinstall sorted it all out and everything is back to where it should be...
