Filters to check mail at startup?

Hello,

I used to have TBird and this used to work all the time.

How do you create a filter that runs on mail downloaded by TBird and not just work on individual folders once they're filed away?

I have TB 52.5.0 and Windows 7 professional.

Create one for the inbox, check the "getting new mail" checkbox and select "filter before junk classification" in the nearby list box.
