Suggestion re Send Options/Text Format

Post by coffent »

Under "Send Options" there are several choices for "When sending messages in HTML format and one or more recipients are not listed as being able to receive HTML". I'd like to suggest another option: when replying to an HTML message from a sender who is not listed as being able to receive HTML, reply automatically in HTML. (Obviously, if the sender sent the message in HTML, he should be able to receive HTML even if he's not listed.)

We are not run by or formally associated with Mozilla despite the similarity in names. We're just a user community. Developers normally don't visit our forums or the official ones.

You could file a bug report whose priority is set to feature request at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ but realistically I don't think anybody will implement it as it is pretty much covered by the existing "send the message in HTML anyways". i.e. not a significant enough use case to worry about.
