My computer is about 6 years old, so that is a possibility. On this system the video took about 40% of the CPU, the equivalent of about 1.6 cores.bjherbison wrote:CPU could be a problem, but I have a 2.5 year old processor and watching the video only takes 10% of a core.

If you're asking these questions I wouldn't recommend turning it on, it's in pre alpha state and very unfinished.

With WebRender on, my MacBook Air became hot when playing video in a webpage.
Hope there's room for it to get improved soon.
