Flash control for ff 57

Post by jsal0318 »

Is there an extension compatible with FF 57 that does the same thing as FLASH CONTROL does?

Right. So I saw, once I found the link. And since I found the link, I posted it. That's all.

Perhaps, you could approximate, no approximate might be to grand a word, well, perhaps you could do something with uMatrix or NoScript, but both of them are beyond me.

How can i set up either umatrix or noscript so I can just click on a video if i want to watch? I prefer a video didnt launch unless i click on it or something like that. If not those 2 extensions, is there another that can do it for me?

thx

I also miss Flash Control and look forward to an update or replacement compatible with Firefox 57+.

In the meantime, there are a couple about:config options you can look at.

media.autoplay.enabled (Double click to set to false, if you want to disable this. May only work for HTML5 videos.)
media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground (Default is true, so it should already be enabled.)

Also, in your addons you can set Flash to "Ask to Activate."
