Is there a signed version of this? I think that's the proper terminology.................one that is recommended or "safe to use" is what I mean.
I had a great version of this before, but when I updated FireFox, it was gone. It had a terrific user interface and was fast, and left none of the watermarks or whatever those squares with pixels inside are called.
I downloaded a version yesterday, but when I read the description of it, it looks to have been written by a foreigner with poor spelling and grammar. Should I be suspicious? Further, it provides only partial downloads of most videos.

Re: Video Download Helper
Every add-on you find on the Firefox Add-ons site is signed. If it wasn't, you wouldn't be able to install it (in Firefox at least; maybe Seamonkey does things differently). The old version of Video DownloadHelper can't be installed in Firefox 57 because it's not a WebExtension.
For YouTube, I recommend YouTube Video and Audio Downloader and for other sites, Video Downloader Prime.
