Bug? Switch to new tab in Web Developer

In my options, I have "When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" unchecked.

In the Web Developer, for the Network Monitor, you can right-click an item and get "Open in New Tab" as an option. If I select this, a new tab does open up, but I immediately switch to it despite the setting in my options.

Is this a bug? I'm wondering if I could get feedback before reporting it. Maybe there is a separate setting in the Web Developer that controls this? I really have no idea. TIA.

I only see separate preferences for tabs that would normally open in a new window (browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground) and bookmarks (browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground). I also can't find an existing bug report for this. So go ahead and file one; at worst it gets marked Invalid or Duplicate despite having done your due diligence.
