I've read that thing was instaled only in the US on "Windows" machine (i don't know for Mac) and not on Linux. But I only read it, not confirmate.

Thanks for the update! A question.
If Mozilla did this, upload an add-on and installing it via the "studies" thing. A hacker can do it?
Good question ! Mozilla can only do it, when in Options => Privacy & Security => under 'Data Collection and Use' : you have 'Allow Firefox to install and run studies' checked. But hackers are pretty clever though ...... ![]()
I don't know about bandwidth, but Firefox 57 and 58 are definitely more responsive with that lot gone. I had a big hang before the last session tabs appeared and that's gone now.
No and there would be no point. All the 'good stuff' is in the user profile and that's what hackers would target. I'll tell you something as well, if AMO don't very quickly go back to doing human reviews before allowing WebExtensions to go public, then people are soon going to find out what hackers can do. These Chrome WebExtension devs are a totally different breed to the Firefox extension devs that you're used to. ![]() Metal Lion latest SeaMonkey & Thunderbird Themes - Sea Monkey and Silver Sea Monkey
