I just got the second Dec 24 Win Nightly update and after that immediately the first Dec 25 Win Nightly update

Krhm.. Is it a known problem that current Nightly does not react if I click a link in Thunderbird? Nothing happens...

Working here. Usually that's a sign that the OS has become confused about what your default browser is.

check in your Windows SETTINGS > DEfault Apps an make sure Firefox Nightly is set to the default Browser
SETTINGS > APPS > DEFAULT APPS
