I have four extensions which use door hanger menus; S3 Translator, uBlock Origin, Bitwarden and Form History Control. Recently - not sure from exactly when, but definitely since Fx 57 arrived - when clicked, those menus go blank after anywhere between five and twenty seconds.
I've tried disabling all extensions but one of the door hanger ones - still happens. Even tried a new profile with only S3 Translator installed (in case it was a uBlock filter problem) - same result.
Obviously not something that can be tested in Safe Mode and the only even vaguely relevant about:config entry refers to the address bar door hangers.
Any suggestions? Anyone else seeing this?

Try turning off hardware acceleration.
Tools -> Options -> General, Performance. Uncheck "Use recommended performance settings". Then, uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" after it shows up after you turned off the recommended performance settings checkbox. Close and then restart Firefox. Some people report having to restart their computer to turn off hardware acceleration.

Yes - see para 2 in the OP. It was a completely vanilla profile with only the one extension installed.smsmith wrote:Does it happen if you create a new profile?

Sorry, missed that. And you disabled hardware acceleration and multi process in the vanilla profile?Vitesse wrote:Yes - see para 2 in the OP. It was a completely vanilla profile with only the one extension installed.smsmith wrote:Does it happen if you create a new profile?

Default profile - uBlock Origin:
A few seconds later (can happen after anything between 5 and 20 seconds!)
As you can probably see, I'm using Classic Shell, but I doubt that's causing it.
