Bookmark Saving Issue. [Solved.]

Am having problems saving bookmarks to the folder of my choice. Used to be able to hit the Bookmark tab and when it opened it would say Bookmark this Page. Then 2 arrows would appear to the right and hitting the upper arrow would bring all of my bookmark folders allowing me the choice of which folder I wanted to save the new bookmark to. This is no longer the case and I no longer know where the new bookmark is being saved. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue. I am using Firefox ESR 52.5.2
![]() Clicking the star in the address bar gives me a popup title "Page Bookmarked". Then in the popup, I can change where the bookmark is stored like you are describing. If I leave it alone, it goes to a folder called "Other Bookmarks".

@Manheim2
Are you saying that you do NOT get any type of dialog box at all when you bookmark a page? Or if you do get something, a screenshot of what you're seeing would probably help. Mike Quack! Quack!
Duck_Dodgers: I screen-captured the dialog box and have it saved in my Graphics Program but don't know how to attach it here. Please advise on how to do so.
LoveMyFoxy the drag 'n' drop method did not work for me. smsmith: your method does work but a work-around I tried also works: copying the forum thread: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3036769 and then pasting the Thread link into the folder of my choice. However I'm waiting for Duck_Dodgers to advise on how to import/attach my screenshot here to see what Duck_Dodgers's opinion in the matter is.

I grab the first icon, and you can see a little square attach itself to the cursor point, then I drop it into a folder 2 Desktops--Win 7 Ult.SP1 x64/6GB RAM /Firefox 52.9ESR/Waterfox64 2020.9/Thunderbird 52.9ESR/Sticky Password/Verizon FIOS wired network

Hope I did the link correctly but am not sure I did. ![]() Nope.
Instead of Photobucket, use either... > https://imgbox.com/ or > https://imgbb.com/ All you need is the [img] file/link for forum & post that here. If there's an option for the Thumbnail size, choose 350 x 350? See how it looks. Photobucket does NOT allow hot linking, unless you pay for it. Ancient Amateur Astronomer

LIMPET235 Sorry for the delay. Uploaded to imgbox.com as suggested. Hope I got the IMG file link correctly. If so, here it is: http://imgbox.com/UHSb5e7E. Hard to read given I could only size it as a Thumbnail size of 350 x 350.
LIMPET235: image link is: http://imgbox.com/UHSb5e7E. Hope you or Duck_Dodgers can help me with my problem of saving bookmarks to the folder of my choice.
Is there no one here to help me resolve my issue of saving bookmarks to the folder of my choice?
Your image is showing one of your folders in Show All Bookmarks. That's not where you save new ones. You save them on the main screen by either clicking the star, or dragging the bookmark's icon to the appropriate folder.

![]() Yep.
You're most definitely in the Library. What happens when you double click the Star icon? A single click will save the page/site to the "Other Bookmarks" folder, which is located at the bottom of the list. Ancient Amateur Astronomer

Double clicking the Star icon does not allow me to drag the bookmark's icon to the appropriate folder. LoveMyFoxy's method does work if I drag the bookmark's icon to the appropriate folder. However, I'd prefer to be able to save bookmarks to the folder of my choice as I used to be able to do. Also per LoveMyFoxy, my image is showing one of my folders in Show All Bookmarks. Would that be the FF53 folder and if so, what do I need to do to resolve the problem?
