more than one tab

sometimes when I do a search the google results comes up in 2 identical tabs & once in a while 3 tabs

In your options page do you have your home start page for only one url, or is it many?

well it no longer happens with google but now with words with friends all the time
got anoyed & tried it in safe mode
in safe mode I got 2 tabs in regular mode I get 3 tabs
I deleted crome but that didnt help either thought maybe there was something wrong there
