Firefox has been very reliable, but recently when I tried to open browser I got problem loading page with messages to check network connection and firewall. No network connection problems and firewall not the problem. Tried the following:
uninstall and install
cleared cookies and cache
disabled ipv6 in firefox
refreshed
I'm on Vista and Windows 7
Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: firefox won't load
Did Firefox recently update to 52.5?
Have you tried closing Firefox and removing all references to it from Norton's permissions list and then rebooting the system and trying Firefox?

Hello Dan Raisch:
Yes, Firefox updated on the same day that I lost ability to connect. On the same day, I was transitioned to All references to Firefox have been removed on Norton.

By eliminating any potential interference from Norton. Sometimes disabling security software only disables the user interface without impacting the scanning/blocking functionality.
