Outlook / Hotmail- Can't log in since update

I updated to 58.0.1 today, and since then I cannot log in to my hotmail (Outlook). When I type my email address in to log in, I get a response "There was an issue logging in to your account. Tap Next to try again". When I do press next, I receive the same response. The system never gets to the section where I am to add my password. I've tried this on Edge, and don't get an error. Please advise.

No such problem here.

Clear the browser cache (use menu path Tools->Options->Privacy & Security->Cached web content->click on "Clear Now" button.)

Delete any cookies relating to the site(s) involved (Tools->Options->Privacy & Security->click on the "Show Cookies" button).
