Little help here:Melissa2009B wrote:How can I do that, please, SIMPLY, without having to read, like a 15 page standard web thing, and try to decipher what I need from it?

First step (after backup) it could be to delete "prefs.js" files (while SeaMonkey not running). It will be recreated after SM start but you'll lost all setting (set to default). If it will not help then you must check other files.
Maybe some SQLITE database file is corrupted. One can be easily checked:
Menu -> Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> scroll to "Places database" and click "Verify Integrity"
For others you need something like SQLite Manager extension. Don't worry, you can use it from other working profile.
EDIT: If "OLDPC" had SeaMonkey 1.x version then delete "extensions" folder in your profile (after backup, of course). See above URL for more info.
