Trash Folder Disappeared......(52.6.0)
This happened before I knew it......I think I'd hit Empty Trash and my Trash folder disappeared.......I closed TB and re-opened and it was back.....however, now the Delete button doesn't work....can't delete anything. Any ideas? Thanks!!

How is the account set up in Thunderbird, as POP or IMAP? Find out using menu path Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Server Type at the top right of the dialogue.

Check to see what folder is selected to store deleted messages under menu path Tools->Account Settings->Copies & Folders.

Well.......all I'm seeing is: When Sending Messages / Message Archives / Drafts and Templates ..... nothing about Deleted Messages.

OK, that's right. It's IMAP that offers that setting. Sorry.
Close Thunderbird. Navigate to the profile folder ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird ) and locate the Mail directory for that account. Locate the file Trash and the file Trash.msf. Rename the former to OldTrash and delete the latter. Restart Thunderbird and try deleting a message in that account.

OK......I did that, but neither came back (TB "was" closed during the renaming / deleting process) .... also, deleting still didn't work.
******
And also, I've now received MANY duplicate messages (2 of each) from various accounts that had already been received over the past few days.

Did you try deleting messages after launching Thunderbird in Mozilla Safe Mode?
See this in regard to the duplicate messages : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Duplicate_messages_received

Re: Trash Folder Disappeared......(52.6.0)
Well, not sure what I just did or what just happened.....but it appears to be back to normal now. Here's what led up to it......I noticed the presence of the "Old Trash" folder in my folder tree.....I right clicked and chose Delete.....it then appeared has a sub-folder of "the" Trash folder......I right clicked and chose Empty Trash....the Old Trash folder disappeared......I then tried deleting a message and "it worked". So, I don't know what the heck happened....but things "look" normal right now......Thanks for your help/time!
