I loaded the file and scrolled to the end and my memory usage only jumped by 0.2 GiB (and half of that increase went away when I switched tabs). No crash--I'm submitting this comment with the file open in another tab.

(Running Nightly on Linux using a system with 16 GiB, with 3/4 of my RAM currently unused.

Looks like they may have broken windows updates again. The evening Nightly has been on taskcluster for 2 hours now, and Nightly says 'Up to date'

Nightly just updated for me a few minutes ago. (It may have been ready longer, but I just noticed the green arrow on the hamburger icon.)

And now Help -> About Firefox kicked off a full (43MB) update. I usually don't see two evening update at once.

Or maybe this is suppose to be tomorrow morning's update since now Help -> About Nightly shows the version as 60.0a1 (2018-02-09) (64-bit) and about:support shows build ID 20180209005628. But here in the Pacific Standard Time zone in the United States it is still 2018-02-08 at 9pm.

I have just noticed when you do Ctrl-N (New Window) nightly run all your startup tabs, is that expected ?

My startup is set to "Show your windows and tabs from last time" and my home page is "about:blank", and New Window gets me a blank page. When I change my Home Page setting New Window creates a window with that page open. (In both cases my pinned tabs aren't copied to the new window.)

What I saw seems reasonable. Is the behavior a change?

I'm pretty sure it always did that. I haven't done ctrl-n in quite a while though.

Seems like the newer one is a little better on memory, since "beta 5 or 6". I think they have been looking at a lot of memory and/or video bugs. I think more in nightly than in "beta" versions though. I might try a 60 "nightly" version, and see how that does. If that is still not satisfactory, I will try the 32 bit of the same thing instead.
