Firefox 58.02 and Youtube
Got updated to 58.02. Not able to access video on youtube or search for video. Youtube comes up but can't play videos. Did so prior to update but not after.

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Re: Firefox 58.02 and Youtube
Just to confirm that I also have the same issue. YouTube seems to be broken in 58.0.2. Channel banners will often not appear, nor will the Subscribe button. Page loads are intermittent and videos may or may not play. Watch Later lists sometimes do not load. All in all, fairly unusable.
Please note that the above applies to the NEW Youtube layout. I have no idea if the bug exists with YouTube in classic mode.
No issues with YouTube on my other browsers and Firefox 58.0.1 and earlier were fine also. It would seem that the issue has started with 58.0.2. I have submitted a bug report to Mozilla and I recommend that others with the same problem do the same.

I should add that the problem does indeed occur with Firefox running in Safe Mode. Clearing all site data and caches does not fix the bug either.DanRaisch wrote:Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Re: Firefox 58.02 and Youtube
I have also updated with the latest Firefox update and YouTube instantly began having issues.
Can occasionally load a single page but all clickable tabs do not work, and any reload simply stalls.
Have tried turning off hardware acceleration to no effect, disable all addons and still nothing.
The comment section on any initial YouTube page that i manage to load has completely disappeared, and that page remains the only page that plays a video, still with no page links working at all.

All you folks reporting 'no vidieo' issues on Youtube what graphics card do you have on your systems ? This update apparently blocked some graphics drivers. I've not taken time to investigate which drivers, no time this morning.

With the New YouTube layout, if I try a search, the right side comes up blank. CTRL-F5 will then show the contents. If I log out of my account, then the search will work with the New Layout. It plays videos fine but just parts of the page don't seem to work right. Comments stopped showing. Either 58.0.2 changed something or YouTube did.

Same problem here.
If i'm signed into my Google account and open a youtube video i have bookmarked it opens up fine and plays, however i can't click on any videos (on the right side of youtube) and comments aren't loaded.
If I sign out of my Google account it works.
Did this with a new profile in FF with same results. I also tryed to run in safe mode and same behaviour is seen.
Graphics card is an Nvidia

I was able to log out of my account, refresh, then click the three dots on the top right and select old Youtube layout. Logged back into my account and all the stuff works, on the older layout. YouTube is sending out different code based on being logged in or not it would seem. Just started happening.

Well, things seem to be working again both logged in and with the new layout.

Yep, can confirm. Everything works again.
